Q: I’m starting a restaurant, at what stage of our design process should we contact you?
A: As soon as possible. We will happily visit site, take accurate measurements and discuss models and upholstery options as well as how to make best use of your space.

Q: What products are available?
A: We offer every type of loose furniture: chairs, tables, high and low stools, sofas and outdoor furniture. We also supply Jumbrellas for outdoor use. We have a brochure and CD of standard products but also manufacture an infinite range of bespoke items.

Q: Can I have items that are not on your website/in your brochure?
A: Yes, AMI Furniture offers a unique product sourcing service so if you can’t see what you want on our website, then send us an image or a sketch and we will source it for you together with some close alternatives.

Q: Do you have a price list?
A: No. For the simple reason that everyone has different requirements. At AMI Furniture we tailor the quote to suit your needs so you get a totally accurate price. Choice of materials, finishes, upholstery, numbers and destination all have a bearing on costings.

Q: Who are your customers?
A: We have a broad range of clients in each of our areas of expertise and look after both small and corporate with the same full-on attention. Q: What happens if I don’t know what I want? Can you help?
A: Let us know broadly what your needs are and we will source relevant items specifically for your project and then present them to you. We will repeat the process until we achieve the desired effect and only the discuss upholstery options and stain colours. We are able to cover all cost levels and will find products to match your budget.

Q: Can you make bespoke items?
A: Absolutely. AMI Furniture thrives on making bespoke items in our own factory. Just send a sketch or image and dimensions and we will manufacture the items to your specification. You can also specify stain colours and upholstery choices to fit in with your design scheme.

Q: Am I limited to standard sizes?
A: Not at all. Because we are manufacturers, we are able to adjust heights and dimensions to suit the specific space available. Items such as tabletops are all made in-house so you don’t have to settle for standard sizes.

Q: How do I know I am buying contract quality items?
A: All of our items are supplied by trusted, quality suppliers that we have been using for many years. They are designed for severe contract use and with our in-house manufacturing, can be adapted and strengthened when required.

Q: What are the lead times?
A: Usually, our lead times are 6 – 8 weeks for imported items and 2 – 4 weeks for items manufactured in-house. Please contact us if goods are needed sooner.
Q: Will I get one point of contact/a dedicated account manager for my project?
A: Yes, at AMI Furniture, you will have one project manager who will look after your project from initial quote right the way through until your order is delivered to site.

Q: How do I choose my upholstery?
A: You can specify the fabric/leather you would like to use and then supply it yourself or we can buy it on your behalf. Alternatively, we will source fabrics/leathers that meet your requirements for you to choose from. We supply fabrics that are fire rated to Crib 5 standard (legal requirement)

Q: How will I know if my fabrics are suitable for contract use?
A: All fabrics supplied are subject to minimum contract durability qualities and are treated to Crib 5 fire rating as standard (legal requirement). We always supply fire certificates for your records.

Q: What happens if I want a particular stain finish?
A: Send us a sample of the stain you require and we will match it in our own in-house spray facilities. Alternatively, we can send out a selection of stain samples for you to make your choice from.

Q: How do I pay?
A: You can pay by BACS or cheque and will initially receive a pro-forma invoice from us. Terms, until a trade account has been set up, are 50% with order with the balance to reach us 7 days before your required delivery date.

Q: Can I ask for a certain delivery date?
A: Yes. We will deliver on that day and if possible, to a certain time. In over 25 years of trading, we have never missed a delivery date.

Q: How will my goods arrive?
A: Furniture is delivered in dedicated vehicles on the day required. We load the vehicles ourselves, deliver to tailgate (for you to unload) and remove all packaging. For an extra modest charge, we also unload and set out the furniture in situ.

Q: Will you visit me on site or do I have to come to your showroom?
A: The choice is yours. Our showroom in Nottingham, where we display a wide variety of products is available by prior appointment or we can visit you at your specified location.

Q: Do you have a minimum quantity order?
A: No. And for upholstered & bespoke joinery items we are proud to be able to offer one-offs. Items imported from abroad are usually as low as 2 or 4 but may be subject to higher shipping costs.
